This is going to be a quick post, since I'm writing from Bruno's Hotel in Gerlach, Nevada. I think the population here is about 75, and 90% of those people are a stone's throw from this room.

As you may have read, my friends and I come here frequently, but not frequently enough to be locals. We are going to a friend's bar b que later if the weather eases up (it's gale force winds, thunder storms, and torrential rain right now). It has been a great day and a half.

I deleted the photos I had included with this post because they somehow uploaded completely wrong (probably a side effect of uploading unedited photos using the mobile app to update the blog post). I was under deadline to complete the assigned blog post and had to get something up, but I also had to literally stand outside in gale force winds and quite a lot of rain to get sufficient signal to upload the post at all.

I'm not telling you this as a pity story, I'm telling you because THIS IS COMMITMENT. Yeah, I uploaded a shitty half-assed post, but I went back and full assed it later.

So without further ado, here are some choice moments from the weekend:

As the sun started going down, the wind kicked up and a huge storm rolled in, with howling winds and huge rain drops pelting us nonstop.

Which of course led to some interpretive dancing:

And then the traditional stuff-to-blow-up:

(logistics are being discussed)

There are still more photos from the trip, but they keep uploading upside-down so I'm going to have to resave them in photoshop eventually.

But not today.
