Howdy folks. First time customer with Outlaw. Saw the ads all over Facebook, piqued my interest y'might say. Gave it some time to mull over my complete thoughts and really give things a proper go, wanted to give everything a fair shake.
I ordered the Gambler and Blazing Saddles in spray cologne form. What I got was a nice little box that seemed designed with environmental conscientiousness in mind. Paper and cardboard packing materials served to protect the goods, which themselves come in their own nice little slide-out boxes. Likewise included was a thank you note, a bumper sticker, a Clucky novelty chicken, and a Calamity Jane soap sample. Box was made to be a nice backdrop for the goods, so I'll oblige and do just that.
So. Let's talk about the Gambler.
I live up North, but I was born in Sin City. Bourbon is my drink of choice. Love me a nice neat pour in a Glencairn or a rocks glass, or an Old Fashioned cocktail if I get to make it myself. Not a smoker, but I can enjoy a good sweet tobacco scent, and you bet your britches I love the smell of leather.
My nose ain't the greatest. I ain't trained to sniff out complex scents, I ain't any kind of sommelier. So, I usually just pick up one or two obvious things. In this case, tobacco is absolutely the dominant scent, zero questions asked. When you first spray, it'll be maraschino cherry sweetness. As it dries down, you get a musty sweetness that's reminiscent of bourbon corn's mustiness alongside a dry tobacco. Again, still…
