Every week, I look at which of our products are most popular... really, it's more or less an act of habit and to see what products are second - tenth most popular. Because since its launch, one soap has consistently dominated: Blazing Saddles.
Until last week.
In a completely surprise "upset" (I understand this is a sports term for an unexpected contender winning), Mountain Hideout, our forest-scented soap, won last week, coming almost out of nowhere (historically, Mountain Hideout has not been one of our top 5 best sellers) to beat Blazing Saddles.
It wasn't by a mile, but still, to come out of relative obscurity to take a 4-year reign from Blazing Saddles, well, it's one of those horse races that people talk about for months (if not years).
Product line decisions
These are the things we watch to think about what products we should turn into solid cologne, body wash, lotion, etc. When something takes off like this, we take note. When it consistently gains in position on our charts, we might decide to include it in the subscriptions more often, and if people enjoy it, then we give it more priority in our other choices.
