As the leaves are turning and the air is taking on a fresh quality we affectionately refer to as, "HOLY MOSES IT'S SO EFFING COLD I THINK MY NOSE IS GOING TO FALL OFF," sometimes you might wish you had a way to magically transport yourself back to those lazy days of Summer... the fresh cut grass between your toes, the ripe blackberries staining your fingers, and the scent of laundry on the breeze.
You know, because THIS ARCTIC GALE IS LITERALLY TRYING TO MURDER ME AND I KNOW NATURE IS IMPARTIAL BUT THIS FEELS VERY. EFFING. PERSONAL. RIGHT. NOW.
If, instead of DOING HEAVY BATTLE AGAINST MOTHER NATURE HERSELF, you were closing your eyes and hearing the soft, warm breeze through the trees (instead of this STINGING, BITING, BITTER WIND), the birds singing their call-and-repeat through the branches (rather than DID I JUST HEAR MY EAR BREAK FROM FROSTBITE? CALL A DOCTOR!), nowhere to be but here, enjoying this brilliantly bright morning of sunlight twinkling through the leaves.
