For Veterans' Day, we're announcing a very special partnership

To all who served in the military, thank you.

I know the decision to risk your life in the service of our country is a difficult one. And even coming back physically safe and sound, the invisible wounds of war stay with you.

When I was reading the responses to our Outlaw customer survey, a frequent answer to "what keeps you up at night?" was "PTSD." I wanted to do something. But what?

The answer is dogs (of course).

K9s for Warriors is the largest service animal provider to veterans. Here's their reason for existing:

Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.

In 2020, we donated $10,000 to K9s for Warriors in celebration of National Dog Day. It's not a lot in the big scheme of things (it takes $25,000 to train ONE service dog), but it was a lot to us (the widow's mite and all).

We're working on some dog products (dog paw and nose cream first) because so many of our Outlaws are dog people. I reached out to K9s for Warriors to see if we could support their mission with the sales of our new Outlaw (Outpaw?) dog care products.

The deal's still in the works so I can't share the details yet, but they're well aware of us and our bold intentions to provide enough for 10 service dogs (yes, we're hoping to raise $250K from the sales of our dog cream).
