March is Women’s History Month, and history gives us no shortage of Wild West women to celebrate.
Think of champion sharpshooter Annie Oakley, who could shoot the cigarette out of your hand. Or outlaw Belle Star, famous for bank-robbing — not to mention fencing, rustling, and bootlegging — a blaze across the West.
But you know we’re partial to Calamity Jane, a tough-as-leather cowgirl who earned her nickname while rescuing her army captain during battle, and then went on to tour the world with Wild Bill Hickock. Jack Crawford wrote, "She was simply a notorious character, dissolute and devilish, but possessed a generous streak which made her popular."
Our Calamity Jane Body Wash may not smell like Jane herself — she was famous for drinking until she passed out in the stable — but we think it captures her spirit. With an unforgettable scent that blends the aromas of fine bourbon, sweet oranges, and a little spice, it’s sweet with a kick, and pays tribute to a woman who could shoot a pistol, shoot off her mouth, and make no apologies for either.
All Outlaw Body Wash is made with fine vegan oils that leave even sensitive skin feeling smooth and luscious. So pick up a bottle today. We can’t promise you’ll make history, but you could do far worse than having a little Calamity in your shower.
And if you’re the drinking-type and want to raise a glass to Jane, we’ve worked up a little Calamity Jane cocktail recipe. Passing out in the hay next to your horse is purely optional.
Calamity Jane Cocktail: The No-Nonsense Version
1 1/2 oz Cinnamon Whiskey
1 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Ginger Ale
Orange twist
Here’s a version as no-nonsense as Jane herself. Stir the cinnamon whiskey and the triple sec in an old-fashioned glass with some ice, top it off with just a little ginger ale, and garnish with an orange twist to prove you can hold your own with any city slicker.
Calamity Jane Cocktail: The Feelin’ Shmancy Version
1 1/2 oz Bourbon Whiskey
1 oz Cointreau or Dry Orange Curaçao
1/4 oz Cinnamon Simple Syrup*
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
1 oz Ginger Beer
Orange twist
If you’re feeling a little shmancy — or are a sharp-shootin’ drink-slinger — try this a-little-more-complex version. Stir the whiskey, Cointreau, simple syrup, and bitters in a cocktail shaker with some ice. Pour over ice into an Old Fashioned glass. Twist the orange peel over the top and garnish. Then drink with the knowledge that you’ve gone full shamancy, and there’s no going back.
*For cinnamon simple syrup, combine a half cup of sugar and a half cup of water with two cinnamon sticks in a sauce pan over low heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Then cover it and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Calamity Jane Body Wash Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is my signature scent!
“I would describe myself as being very hard to please when it comes to perfume. Mostly I just want to smell clean, you know? Not all heavy floral or woodsy or funeral parlor-y. When I read the description of Calamity Jane it sounded perfect and it IS perfect! I love it so much I am going to purchase a few more products. I vow not to marinate in it… but I am tempted…” - Miriam B
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calamity Jane
“This body wash was everything I had hoped it to be. Natural smelling not overpowering or artificial perfumey like most. I love the Clove Cinnamon Orange that you cannot find in any women's products. I am not a flowery girl but I am spicy and I love this. My wash was received fast and they even included a wonderful sample soap and little surprise!” - Theresa J.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Calamity Jane fan forever
I just received my Calamity Jane lotion and just one whiff took me back to memories of coming in from riding my horse and the scent of my dad’s pipe on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I loved that smell. Second whiff took me back to one of my favorite Valentine candies, red hots. This fragrance belongs to me. I’m ordering the entire line. This country gal is all grown up, but still a tomboy at heart. I love the Calamity Jane scent." - Pat W.
