Here’s a little-known tidbit: March 20th is The International Day of Happiness. Coincidentally it is also Frog day, Bock Beer Day, and Extraterrestrial Abductions Day. Now, I know this readership is expecting to hear the story of how Outlaw Lust in the Dust Body Wash made its way up and into a swirling spaceship hovering over Area 51 in Southern Nevada, and the Aliens shouted down “Heck Yeah! This stuff is Great!” but that’s not where I’m going with this.
International Day of Happiness was created by Jayme Illien (you know, it sounds a lot like "alien"... coincidence? [cue X-Files music]), to advance the UN’s global goals of happiness, well-being, and freedom of all life on Earth.
This year, the theme is “Happier Together: focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us.”
A personal example:
My wife and I discovered we share a love of burning marshmallows! This made us "Happier Together!"
Discovering somebody didn’t feel the need to bring coffee to our outdoor romp created a Grand-Canyon-sized divide. *cough* I'm not bitter.
In the spirit of International Day of Happiness, I choose only to celebrate those communally delicious gooey marshmallows!
🤠 We’d like to hear from all the Outlaws
1) What do we Outlaws have in common (you know, that makes us happier)?
2) What makes you happy?
In a week, we'll share your thoughts to celebrate the launch of Outlaw into space! -- er, I mean -- to celebrate the launch of your thoughts in our Outlaw Journal, and thus, to make our contribution on the International Day of Happiness!
